MORE ABOUT ME

I am a veteran homeschooler who has been homeschooling since 1998. We started out in California where I ran a private school umbrella program. We felt God was directing us elsewhere so we sold the house and bought an RV and began traveling while learning about the US. We had many adventures along the way but our true purpose for traveling was to discover where God wanted us to live. After 18 months we realized it was Massachusetts and we have been here ever since. I have been blessed with 6 children, 5 boys and the last was a girl. I have dealt with being out of the house many days a week with therapies for my children, as well as severe dyslexia, ADHD, and medical conditions. One of my sons wasn't able to read his own books until high-school but now chooses to read a new book each month. I always focused on my children's strengths while bringing up their weaknesses. When children have learning challenges it isn't a problem with them, we need to learn a new way to teach so they can learn.

I have five graduates so far. For the first time in twenty-three years, I will be homeschooling only one next year.

  I am often approached for advice about homeschooling and choosing curriculums. I truly enjoy helping other homeschooling families navigate the often confusing, and overwhelming world of how to homeschool.
